EZ::TNTM TransposomesTM: A Novel System for Identifying Genes Involved in Bacterial Pathogenesis
نویسندگان
چکیده
Pierce’s disease (PD), a lethal disease of grapevine, is caused by Xylella fastidiosa, a Gram-negative, xylem-limited bacterium, transmitted from plant to plant by xylem feeding insects.1 Strains of X. fastidiosa have also been associated with diseases that cause tremendous losses in many other economically important plants including citrus.2 Although the complete genome sequence of X. fastidiosa has recently been determined, the inability to genetically manipulate X. fastidiosa has been a major impediment to understanding pathogen, plant and insect vector interactions.

Protein Modification Using the New EZ::TNTM In-Frame Linker Insertion Kit
Conserted genome sequencing projects have elucidated the coding sequence of a myriad of genes from many different organisms. An important next step is to determine the structural and functional relationships of the proteins encoded by these genes. Recently, EPICENTRE introduced the EZ::TNTM In-Frame Linker Insertion Kit to speed up and simplify protein modification and facilitate determination ...
متن کاملDifferential genes expression analysis of invasive aspergillosis: a bioinformatics study based on mRNA/microRNA
Invasive aspergillosis is a severe opportunistic infection with high mortality in immunocompromised patients. Recently, the roles of microRNAs have been taken into consideration in the immune system and inflammatory responses. Using bioinformatics approaches, we aimed to study the microRNAs related to invasive aspergillosis to understand the molecular pathways involved in the disease pathogenes...
متن کاملIdentification of key genes and pathways involved in vitiligo vulgaris by gene network analysis
Background and Aim: Vitiligo vulgaris is an acquired, chronic skin and hair condition characterized clinically by loss of melanin, which, if untreated, is typically progressive and irreversible. The aim of the present study was to identify potential genes involved in the pathogenesis of vitiligo. Methods: One dataset of mRNA expression in patients with vitiligo (GSE65127) were obtained from ...
متن کاملBioinformatics Analysis Reveals Genes Involved in the Pathogenesis of Ameloblastoma and Keratocystic Odontogenic Tumor
Pathogenesis of odontogenic tumors is not well known. It is important to identify genetic deregulations and molecular alterations. This study aimed to investigate, through bioinformatic analysis, the possible genes involved in the pathogenesis of ameloblastoma (AM) and keratocystic odontogenic tumor (KCOT). Genes involved in the pathogenesis of AM and KCOT were identified in GeneCards. Gene lis...
متن کاملWhole-Genome Sequencing of a Clinically Isolated Antibiotic-Resistant Enterococcus faecium EntfacYE
Background and Objective: Enterococcal infections are considered the most common nosocomial infections. Nowadays, enterococci show high resistance to common antibiotics, especially vancomycin. Vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium is one of the most common nosocomial infections, which is included in the World Health Organization priority pathogens list for research and development of new an...
